INFORMATION: DEMONS
The black sea of Tar that surrounds the barren earth at some point covered most of the land that is now dry and from that viscous substance came the first of their kind. Their home is below the ground, in the grand chasm they call Underworld.
The Tar is a living thing, an organism that adapts and evolves, so it housed itself in the carcasses of Angels in shapeless masses which the Heaven-folk loathed. But no matter how many of these primitive lifeforms were slain, several more would take their place.
With time, the Tar learned instead to imitate the bipedal structure and as such Demons became reflections of the Angels, yet not held back by the Maker's uniform mold, nor were they stunted by limited numbers tied to a higher power's whims.
Unlike their counterpart, Demons have the need to hunt lesser creatures for sustenance and they range in an infinity of sizes and shapes, adapted to survive in the wasteland they call home, scourging for resources that Heaven has no need for.
